Further to the intervention from Councillor Tom Morrison following a spate of incursions at Bruntwood park we are delighted to report that a new height restriction barrier has been installed on Bruntwood Lane.
Commenting on the installation of the barrier Tom said: ‘Bruntwood Park is a wonderful space used by people from across the community. The actions of a few have been spoiling the enjoyment of many as well as taking up unnecessary police and council officer time dealing with the evictions. I’m delighted that action has been taken and sincerely hope that the new barrier puts an end to the spate of unlawful occupations of land at the park’.

unfortunately more tax payer expense because of tax evaders actions.
At least it helps to keep the park safer for the local community and sport facility users. The expense is worth it for a safer park. If the barriers keeps our illegal caravan dwellers the council will save on cleanup cost after eviction.
Well done. I do wonder where they will go next.
Sadly, I don’t think that will stop them. If they’re happy to break locks etc to gain entry, they’ll just break that too.
