Here are five things we’ve been working on this week:

1. Visited residents affected by the flooding to offer support, listen to their concerns, and provide assistance in any way possible.

2. Engaged with businesses on Demmings Road Industrial Estate to discuss local issues.

3. Investigated the source of water affecting Scholes Park and Borrowdale, as well as other causes of flooding.

4. Advocated for better gritting at Gatley Station and additional resources for Gatley.

5. Attended a police briefing on personal safety as a councillor – a sad reality of modern life when all we want is to help.

Additionally, we have collaborated on cross-ward updates regarding the flooding and requested a visit to Cheadle by the Chief Executive and Deputy.
