Gatley golf course inquiry set to commence

The Inquiry

The Inquiry will commence on Tuesday 26 November at 10am and will sit for six days (26, 27 & 28 November & 3, 4 & 5 December 2024). 

The Venue

The Inquiry will be held at Fred Perry House, 1 Edward Street, Stockport. SK1 3UR. You will need to enter the Inquiry from the Reception at Stopford House, Piccadilly, SKI 3UR

The Inspector

The Inspector for the Inquiry is Stephen Wilkinson BA, BPl, Dip LA, MBA, MRTPI.

The Programme Officer

    The roads, drains and general infrastructure remains strained in the Cheadle / Gatley area.
    There are new already built houses which are not selling in a big new development on the A34 just south of Heald Green.

    Planning Inquiries are interesting processes. I attended the one years back about the Tatton redevelopment. I quickly got a sense, from the Inspector’s comments and questions to “witnesses”, about what is actually relevant to the decision making process. Not always what the witnesses, on both sides, might like to hope would be relevant.
