Letter from the Council Chief Executive setting by-election date for 17 October

We have received the following communication from the Chief Executive:

Dear Councillors

Further to my earlier email of today, as Proper Officer I have now received the two required requests to hold a by-election in each of Cheadle West & Gatley and Bredbury Green & Romiley wards.

These by-elections will be held on Thursday 17 October 2024. A Notice of Election for the forthcoming by-elections will be published by no later than 5pm on Thursday 12 September.
