We’re very disappointed that Cheadle’s Conservative MP, Mary Robinson, has voted this week to allow water companies to continue dumping sewage into our streams and rivers. As we reported back in July, sewage has been discharged into local streams and rivers for hundreds of hours over the last two years.

“We have had reports of young people getting ill after playing in Micker Brook. Our MP should be fighting for clean wate for local people, not to protect the profits of the water companies.” said Cllr Iain Roberts.
